GBJAM14 - The Treasure of the Monkey on the Island
Sometimes your dream plays way too much into the clichés.
Your first trip to the sea ended up being way more adventurous than you thought it would.
Play as the newest recruit on aboard the ship of one legendary Captain Evans "The Leg" Silver! Known to instill fear all over the 7 seas.
Explore around the island to find out where the rest of the crew went, and remember, your Ole Cap'n doesn't intend to go back empty handed!.. Or... Empty Tailed? Necked? Well, you'll know what I mean.

Known Issues:
The following:
- Many place holder assets.
- The main music doesn't automatically loop.
- Not being able to actually leave the island at the end (though the whole game is still playable. The cut-scene doesn't play.) (All because I forgot one line of code, damn it)
- The Pause menu mentioned in some tutorials doesn't exist. Completely neglected it until it was too late.
These issues may be fixed on a post jam hot-fix. So stay tuned if you liked the game idea.
Please let me know if you find any issues that aren't on the list

I loved it!! The game's art is beautiful and very detailed, the music is incredible, the characters are very charismatic and i liked the challenge of exploring. I just had a little difficult reading the text, and there was a moment when I tried to use the ‘Enter’ and ‘Backslash’ keys, but they weren't working.
However, I had a lot of fun playing the game :D
I loved the game! I had a lot of fun playing it, and I thought the art was incredible. One thing I found a little difficult to understand was where I was going and where I had come from. I felt like some kind of mini-map could have helped with navigation, but that might just be because I’m not used to this type of game.
Even with that difficulty, I still had a great time playing it!
thank you so much for playing! did you speak with the parrot in the beginning? he gives you a map ^^ although the navigation is purposefully difficult in these kinds of games ;u;
